Twinkle Little Star
‘Twinkle Little Star’ reflects on the harsh reality of war through the deliberate destruction of glass toy-soldier figures, used as a metaphor for the fragility of human life.
In this project, I focus on conveying a metaphorical narrative through the creation and subsequent destruction of glass forms within an intermedial installation. By subjecting glass objects to thermal processes, I aim to visibly disintegrate them, constructing an artistic narrative that guides observers through reflective contemplation on human fragility, mortality, and the futility of warfare. The project's conceptual origins trace back to childhood games centered around toy soldiers. These innocent pastimes have dramatically transformed into an examination of the harsh realities inherent in armed conflict.
